I hate science, and I am just average at math and reading/writing. And after a long continuous reflection upon myself, I thought that I can major in something related to business.
I have been looking up Business Majors and I found these to be the most interesting.
-Hospitality Management
-Management
-International Business (would probably be Japanese if I could)
-Business Administration/General Business
I am aiming at
-A major that will lead to many job opportunities
-Something interesting and not boring
-A pay scale within 60-80k
-I also live in the state of Florida
-Nothing difficult or intense in any core classes.
If you really want to keep your options open, lean toward management or general administration. But you’re going to have to choose between "nothing difficult or intense" and that nice big salary, at least right out of school: the really high-paying positions (including international business) involve a lot of work.

I have extensive knowledge of business mobile voice/data products and services, business to business sales and computers. I belive there is a great opportunity in both consumer and business VoIP. As of yet I have no trade accounts, registered company or self employed status. I do however have spare time to manage a website and generate customer leads. Many thanks in advance!

I am in a tough situation that I am willing to share with everyone. I am currently at a crossroads. One road is leading towards the service, the United States Air Force. I would really love to serve my country with the branch that I admire the most. I am trying to acquire a pilot slot which I hope turns out to be in my favor. However, if I fail to get that slot, I may be doing a job that I wouldn’t really enjoy doing and everyone knows how that can turn out; and it could really affect my performance.
The other road leads into the business world. I am currently a business major with a 3.6 GPA. I have high interest within the business world specifically entrepreneurship and finance. My brother who currently resides in NY has high hopes for me to come move with him after college and start a collaboration. I don’t have any doubts that we will make an interesting living.
If I chose the Air Force, I will be giving up time that could be spent doing internships, specific work experience, and possibly revamping my entrepreneurial focus. If I obtain a pilot slot, it would all be worth it as that is what I would really like to do with my life. Opportunity cost is what’s happening here.
I am not asking for help, just suggestions. If you were "in my shoes" type of deal. I love hearing opinions, negative or positive. Please share ^.^
I will be joining ROTC this spring as a sophomore with 19 credits. I understand that you need a degree to become commissioned, and in order to be a pilot you have to be commissioned. I under the impression that the major was somewhat irrelevant and that the board doesn’t really consider it? Can someone clarify this? I have heard of pilots majoring in P.E. and whatnot.
As far as the track record, can you elaborate on that? I understand that I have to pick up a contract in order to advance within ROTC. Let me know.
Whenever anyone considers the service, they find themselves at a "Crossroads." You do understand that to be a pilot you need to be a commissioned officer, right? Aside from that, you’ll need to be in excellent health, including sight, hearing, and reflexes. If the pilot deal doesn’t work out, I’d still join. You’ll see the world, gain some perspective, and really experience life. Your brother and NY will still be there if you decide the service isn’t for you, it’s only a 4 year commitment. Best of luck.

I am majoring in business marketing and curious of job opportunities, job titles, and what will be asked of or performed by most marketing career followers; non-sales titles or answers preferred but not limited to; such as (public-relations related, advertising, etc.) an entry-level to executive ladder (moving up) example would be very helpful to understand where hard work and persistance can lead me.

You picked a very employable degree! You won’t make the money you would with a finance degree, but your unlimited in options!
You could get into sales, marketing, management, project management, much more…
Go to a career fair and talk to all the companies there! (Your career counselor at your school can give you time and locations!)
